Inspections and renovation works on 25L/07R
As announced, Brussels Airport carried out a thorough inspection on runway 07R/25L on 6 June. After analysing the results of this inspection, it was decided to carry out additional works to ensure the runway's continued operability.
At Brussels Airport, all runways and taxiways are continuously inspected by the competent services to ensure their good condition and safety at all times.
If damage to the asphalt is identified, an assessment is made as to the need for intervention and within which delay these maintenance works should be carried out.
A detailed schedule for the additional works will be determined, in consultation with skeyes and airport partners, taking into account flight schedules. Works are currently estimated to take place between 19 June and 28 June, during certain periods of the day. The exact dates and further details will be communicated once fixed with all partners involved.
These works will have an impact on runway use, which means that during the works, it will not always be possible to apply the PRS ( Preferential Runway System ), also taking into account wind conditions.
The current use of runways 07R and 01 is linked to the north north east wind.
Runway use, wind conditions, all works and the potential impact on runway use, are always announced on this website.
