Continuous descent operations (CDO)

CDO explanation

Continuous descent operations or CDO are all about efficiency in the landing process of aircraft. They are also called "green landings" because this procedure allows to reduce noise hindrance, fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emissions. The final approach is based on a continuous descent with minimal engine power. On an annual basis, around 70% of landings at Brussels Airport are CDO arrivals.
